I'm an artist and photographer raised in Cornwall. Originally from Porthleven, I now live in Falmouth after living in Bristol for three years. Hugely influenced by nature and the sea, my paintings are (what I call) expressionistic landscapes and seascapes. I mainly use acrylics and watercolours on canvas and heavyweight paper, along with tissue paper to create a textured effect and also different effects with the paint - trusting the process and embracing the imperfections is key. Although I have a plan when I start, it evolves and changes along the way, sometimes creating something completely different and unexpected.

My photography style is a little mixed, I love wandering the streets (especially old crumbly ones), seeing what catches my eye - or exploring derelict eerie looking places. I'd say these photographs fit nicely into the 'New Topographics' photography movement - which I only learnt about a year ago! I was SO chuffed when I discovered it. I also like creating what I call, 'fine art photography' - this is using the colours and patterns of mother nature.
